Boarding Requirements & Policies
At Purr Luxe, the safety, comfort, and well-being of every cat is our top priority. Please review our boarding policies carefully before booking. To ensure every guest receives the highest level of care in a peaceful environment, we’ve outlined a few important guidelines. We kindly ask all pet parents to review these policies in advance. They help us maintain a consistent standard of care and provide each feline visitor with a truly luxurious, stress-free stay. Rest assured, our experienced team is committed to treating your cat with the same love and attention you'd offer at home—so you can travel with total peace of mind.
Check-In & Check-Out

At Purr Luxe, all check-ins and check-outs are by appointment only. We operate much like a boutique hotel for cats—our schedule is thoughtfully structured to ensure every guest enjoys a calm, consistent, and stress-free experience. To maintain this serene atmosphere, Purr Luxe follows a locked-door, appointment-only policy, allowing our team to provide uninterrupted care for boarding and grooming guests while ensuring the safety and security of all cats in our care. This structured schedule also gives our team the dedicated time needed to thoroughly clean, sanitize, and prepare each suite between guests, ensuring every cat arrives to a fresh, pristine environment.

Guests are kindly asked to ring the doorbell upon arrival for drop-off or pick-up. To help us maintain a calm, consistent atmosphere for our feline guests, we ask that all arrivals and departures follow the schedule below.

Health & Wellness

Illness & Parasites
To protect all guests, we reserve the right to cancel a reservation if your cat shows signs of illness or parasitic infestation (e.g., fleas) at check-in. If parasites are discovered after check-in, we will treat your cat appropriately and add the cost to your final bill. Cats with chronic conditions resembling acute illness may require full veterinary documentation before arrival.
-
Cats showing symptoms of a respiratory infection (e.g., sneezing, coughing, nasal discharge) or diagnosed with a URI will not be permitted to board. If a cat becomes ill during their stay, we will contact you immediately to discuss next steps and possible early pick-up.
-
If fleas or flea dirt are detected during your cat’s stay, they will be treated immediately:
-
Capstar (oral medication that kills fleas within 30 minutes)
-
Topical Cheristin (protects for up to 30 days)
-
Bathing, if tolerated
-
You will be notified, and the cost will be added to your final bill
-
Cats treated for fleas will be restricted from the playroom for 48 hours to prevent potential spread to other guests.
-
-
Cats diagnosed with ringworm are not permitted to board.
-
Cats who present with any illness or condition that is deemed contagious are not permitted to board.

Required Vaccinations
All vaccinations must be administered by a licensed veterinarian. Home vaccinations are not accepted.
Required vaccines:
-
FVRCP (Feline Distemper) – Waived only with written documentation from a veterinarian for medical reasons.
-
Rabies – Required by law starting at 4 months of age, no exceptions.
Please note: No vaccine guarantees complete protection. Should illness occur, treatment and related costs are the owner’s responsibility.

Medical Care During Stay
In the event of serious illness, we will transport your cat to your designated veterinarian (if available) or a trusted clinic of our choice. We will make every effort to contact you beforehand. All veterinary costs and transportation fees are the owner’s responsibility. Purr Luxe is not responsible for clinic-specific treatment policies or billing procedures.

Medication Administration
We are happy to accommodate senior cats or those requiring daily medications. Please provide clearly labeled, non-expired medications and all necessary supplies. Our experienced staff can administer medications, including pills, liquids, topical, and some injections. However, if a cat becomes too stressed or aggressive, we cannot guarantee successful administration. As a last resort, medications may be added to food—but we cannot guarantee your cat will eat it. This applies to all oral medications.

Feeding & Litter
To reduce stress and dietary upset, please bring enough of your cat’s preferred food for the entire stay.
We primarily use pine pellets and/or lightly scented, clumping litter. If you have a preference, you're welcome to bring your own. Please note: Bringing your own food or litter does not reduce the boarding fee.

Appetite & Digestive Care
If your cat experiences stress-related appetite loss, we may offer alternative food options or administer an appetite stimulant as needed. Mild digestive upset such as vomiting or diarrhea may be treated with your approval, and any associated costs will be added to your bill.

Shared Boarding for Multiple Cats
Cats from the same household who cannot share food (special diet/medications, etc.) must be booked in separate suites. We are unable to supervise or separate cats during feeding times. If cats boarding together begin to fight or show signs of stress, they will be separated into individual suites (if available). Additional charges will apply for the second suite.
